GTA 5 Pushed Back

From Rockstar Games:

"Dear all,

Today, we have an official release date to share with you: Grand Theft Auto V will arrive in stores on September 17, 2013.

We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time. GTAV is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require.

To all Grand Theft Auto fans, please accept our apologies for the delay, and our promise that the entire team here is working very hard to make the game all it can be. We are doing all we can to help ensure it will meet if not exceed your expectations come September – we thank you for your support and patience.

Yours,
The GTA Team"

Today Rockstar Games announced that they were pushing back the release date to the new game in their highly anticipated series Grand Theft Auto from the end of March until mid September. As you can probably imagine a lot of people including myself were not to happy to hear the news. I've been counting down the days till March in anticipation for this game I even reserved my copy 3 months early and to hear this is crushing. I'm sure they have some reason as to why it needed to pushed back I just wish they wold be a little more specific than the explanation they posted on their website. Their is some speculation that the move has to do with the heated political climate against guns and violent movies and games because of the recent shootings in Sandy Hook, Oregon mall, Aurora etc, but if that's the case who's to say that another tragedy won't occur within the new time period. Then will we have to wait another 6 months until the heat cools off from that as well. I gotta say between this and the Boondocks season 4 looking like a no-go my spring is turning into a giant suck fest.

Color me extremely Bummed :-(
