Throw Back Thursday 2004

Here goes 10 hit songs from 2004 Brings up so many memories Enjoy....

Melodic Chaotic (Willow Smith) - Summer Fling

This song seems to be drumming up all kinds of controversy around the web. Its a really good song honestly, production is top notch, lyrics are catchy, and the video is all fun and filled with summer vibes. One thing that’s really bothering people (besides the awful faux British accent) is the age appropriateness’ really what does a 12 year old know about a Summer fling? Which I totally agree with 12 year olds shouldn't be singing about flinging some dude in the summer, but the thing that’s really driving  me crazy about this vid is that blonde atrocity on top of that girls head, Who the hell let that shit fly by? The Smiths are making way too much money out here to let their daughter walk around in a lacefront that looks like she got it 2 for 1 at a Sally's Beauty Supply.

Uncle Phil please get your Niece......

Eddie Murphy ft. Snoop Lion - Red Light

I was all prepared to hate on this song thinking how hilarious it was that Snoop Lion managed to recruit Eddie Murphy into his Rasta transformation, but then I actually listened to it and the song is actually good, hell more than good Fuckin Great! Give it a listen and leave some feedback Enjoy.....

I couldn't end the post without linking one of the greatest songs of all time tho...

Vince Staples - Tales of a Stolen Youth

In the midst of an album battle between Kanye, J.Cole, and Mac Miller one of the best projects of the year was able to slip through the cracks Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you Tales of a Stolen Youth from Long Beach M.C Vince Staples. if you've been visiting this blog at all then you probably know that I am very biased towards Vince and his crew The Cutthroat Boyz but the bias is totally deserving This kid is only 19 (well actually he just turned 20 but his latest project was recorded when he was in his teens) and already is a talented wordsmith sounding almost beyond his years that's even mention by Ab-soul on a track on the EP called "Killin' Y'all" (Vince knows what I know now and I'm 26). The First time I heard Vince on Earl Sweatshirt's EPAR I thought whoa this kid can spit then after hearing his first whole project Shyne Coldchainn I knew that this dude was something special. He has the perfect blend of gangster yet still intelligent and aware of the world some would say "conscious"  but I hate that term even through the monotone voice you can sense the emotion of what he's talking about. This project is totally different from Winter in Prague his last project with up and coming producer Michael Uzowuru it has a different feel all together from the beats to the lyrics to the features not to mention its Mac Millers producing debut as his alter ego Larry Fisherman. You can hear Staples really growing up and coming into his own as rapper if this is just a preview of what dude has in store for the future a lot of you rap niggas should put down the mic and pick up an application at Walmart because that's the only way you Eatin' around here.....

Grand Theft Auto 5 Gameplay Trailer

Only 2 more months! that's what I keep telling myself to keep from going insane, this game is gonna be EPIC!!! I'm already calling it as the best game of 2013 period, point, blank no need for more discussion. I'm already foreseeing a big drop in the economy after this releases, millions of people in a GTA induced coma with nobody going to work, or spending money, marriages dissolving, friendships ending, its going to be horrible (for them at least I'm going to be too busy enjoying this bad boy to give a fuck about anyone else). Enjoy....

Mac Mille ft. Schoolboy Q- Gees

Mac is definitely stepping up his game as of late. Spending all that time with Vince Staples, the Odd Future crew, and the dudes from T.D.E is paying off between his new album and this video lil' homie is killing it! Its like they're peer pressuring him, but instead of using Crack they're making him create better music..... Enjoy

Kanye West- Black Skinhead

Ok so I'm really, really disappointed, this video was terrible it looks like a beginner level on Dj Hero. I don't know who the director was but he definitely needs to take a seat after releasing this monstrosity. It seems like the label wanted Kanye to release a video and he refused so they hired some first year Art major and came up with this shit. Def Jam is fuckin up.....
